Overview

As part of a growing team in a fast-paced, start-up environment, we are looking for a Finance & Accounting Analyst to assist our Finance and Accounting Team with the day-to-day financial operations. We are looking for an experienced Analyst who has in-depth knowledge of best practices in financial and accounting management with the willingness to learn and grow in a start-up environment.

Job Responsibilities

The specific responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Handle the day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including, but not limited to, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Collaborate with the Executive Director on month-end close
• Lead the preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Responsible for preparing Profit and Loss statements, Journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and standards
• Work with external auditors during financial audits
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators
• Oversee and manage the finance/accounting tech stack; anticipate and evaluate business needs
• Tax preparation and reconciliation
• Initiate, drive, and implement improvements of processes
• Generate ad-hoc financial reports as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5-8 years of experience in finance and accounting roles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis
• Proficient in processing Payroll and Taxation
• Proficient in Quick Books, ADP, MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) or start-up experience is a plus
