About the Position :
The Front Desk Receptionist at Nightlight Pediatric Urgent Care serves as a patient intake coordinator and is responsible for checking patients in and out of our clinics, collecting co-pays, posting payments, scheduling appointments, and answering calls.
You will need to be able to maintain the patient call-in and wait lists as well as collect and enter patient demographics and insurance information from the patients caregivers when they arrive.
Additionally, you will need to verify the patients insurance and coverage; receive patient co-pays, deductibles, and payments;
and ensure all critical billing information and payments are collected prior to completing the patient check out process.
Caring for the front desk includes answering a multi-line phone system, taking messages, and directing calls to the appropriate staff in addition to maintaining the cleanliness of the front office for patients.
As the typical first point of contact for patients and their caregivers, you will need to have a professional demeanor and customer service skills.
Because we are a pediatric urgent care, you will need to be used to a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining the patience and compassion necessary to care for young patients and their caregivers during this stressful time.
