Job Summary: A Quality Tech III will be responsible for handling the day to day Containments, Inspection Sort gate, Rework, Parts Incoming Inspection production floor quality functions as well as assisting Quality/Process/Manufacturing/ Engineer personnel with any specific requests/concerns. Level III – Ensure that Quality in being maintain in all factors, Cross trained with different skills .Perform essentials level II when needed. Essential Functions: Report variation to provide feedback to Associates, Team Leaders, Unit Managers, and Manufacturing Engineers to determine root causes and improve process performance.Report internal non-conformances on a daily and monthly basis.Provide the Unit with the statistical summary of the lot to be included with each shipment.Additional reports as required.Typically will have internal customers only (as opposed to dealing with external Nifco customers)Other related tasks as assigned.Ability to train operators on part inspectionTracking or Conforming Material Certification compliancePerform Dock Audits of Ongoing productsMeasure SamplesLabel/Repack containersProcess High and low lot SampleAbility to understand Q-PulseAbility to understand the Shipping Status ReportProcess Scrap TransactionSupport RMA’sSupport Misc ReceiptProcess RTV’sBack up the Team Leader if not present Education/Experience/Skills:An Associate’s degree in a technical related field or equivalent on the job experience2– 5 years prior experience in Quality, preferably in an automotive settingProficient in math disciplines to solve mathematical equations use in applied statisticsAbility to interpret data, charts, and graphsProficient in the use of computer software packages, access databases, spreadsheets and word processingAbility to work as part of a teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFamiliar with the TS16949 & ISO14001 standardsPosition Type/ Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full -time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday. Overtime required as needed including in the weekend. Physical/Ergonomic Requirements:Able to lift boxes up to 50 poundsAble to work on foot for extended hoursTravelTravel is primarily local during the business day.
