Under the supervision of the Innovation and Strategy Center, the Academic Partnerships Coordinator will coordinate activities related to degree and credential completion pathways. This position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of effective course articulation agreements with other colleges and universities through active internal and external communication with Provosts, deans, department heads, faculty, and others involved with the articulation effort. The Academic Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with a variety of academic institutions, including high schools, assisting Career Coaches with transfer activities, coordinating collaborative agreements, developing new, and managing existing articulations. The person in this position will assist all areas of the college in creating innovative partnerships with other educational institutions. Responsibilities will be at the Rhinelander Campus with variable hours that may include day, evening, and/or possible weekend coordination assignments. This person would use a variety of distance technology communication tools.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Demonstrate innovation by creating/growing dynamic partnerships with educational institutions that foster academic credentialing, experiential learning, and career preparation.Serve as the College point-of-contact for bachelor’s degree completion pathways.Keep internal records related to transfer and articulations up to date.Support marketing, recruitment and recruitment communications regarding academic partnerships and opportunities.Serve as the Wisconsin Technical College System Transfer-Out Coordinator, attending appropriate state-called meetings.Serve as the College Transfer Administrator.Complete grant-related work as it relates to college partnership initiatives.Complete grant-related work as it relates to transfer initiatives.Assist students in obtaining course syllabi as part of transfer.Develop and maintain processes as needed related to transfer.Work with the Strategic Enrollment team to make decisions related to transfer and articulation. Attend meetings when necessary.Assist in the collection of data related to transfer, including but not limited to success at transfer institution.Assist in the refinement of assessments of program and institutional learning outcomes and reports/analysis of data derived from these, considering transfer impacts.Maintain currency in understanding the education-related issues of traditionally marginalized student groups, including but not limited to Indigenous students, as well as best practices in closing any transfer equity gaps.Coordinate with appropriate Dean and, when appropriate, the dual credit coordinator for review of current and the development of new articulations and transfer agreements. These may include transfer-in agreements of dual credit or transfer-out agreements of Nicolet College coursework to receiving higher education institutions. In collaboration with the Strategic Enrollment Team, coordinate and communicate events including but not limited to the transfer fair, college visits, and high school and community events.Participate in events and collaborations that connect the college with district high schools, universities, community members, and employers.Review internal website and websites of transfer institutions for accuracy related to Nicolet information.Work closely with student success coaches and the dual credit coordinator to assist students as needed for a successful transfer.Collaborate with admissions representatives to develop transfer activities for students.Travel to transfer institutions to build relationships and confirm transfer agreements and articulations.Plan and coordinate transfer workshops.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability and motivation to work both independently and collaboratively.Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships across the College and in the district. Ability to organize effective events and create reports.
