Nicholson Early Childhood Education Center in northwest Austin (near 620/183) is searching for assistant teachers, floating teachers, and/or summer-only teachers. We are an accredited private year-round preschool program serving children from 18 months to 5 years of age with low teacher to child ratios (1:5 for toddlers; 1:8 for preschoolers) and a focus on providing our children with a preschool experience of the highest quality! We follow a modified school district schedule allowing our teachers 34 paid days off.

Job Details:

· The hours for these teaching positions are 8:00 to 1:30 (Monday through Friday).

· Total hours for these positions are 27.5 per week including 20 hours classroom teaching 7.5 hours of paid planning, preparation, and staff development time each week.

Required Qualifications:

· 18 years or older

· High School diploma or equivalency

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience teaching young children in a group setting

· CDA, AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field

· Commitment to developmentally appropriate practices and play-centered curriculum
