Overview

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at our facility located in Shelby Township, MI, 48315. As a Production Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes. This position requires expertise in machine setups for production runs, mechanical troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform machine setups for production runs according to specifications and production schedules.
  • Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure efficient and accurate production processes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify and resolve any mechanical issues or malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems, making necessary adjustments or repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate production activities and meet production targets.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Document production data, including quantities produced, equipment downtime, and any quality issues.
  • Assist in training new production operators on machine operation and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report any production issues or concerns.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in machine setups for production runs.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate production records.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
