Overview : NHS Brooklyn CDC, Inc. is seeking a Program Coordinator of clean energy technologies as part of a statewide NYSERDA-funded Regional Clean Energy Hub Program.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for training volunteers; providing technical assistance; and overseeing public outreach, education, and marketing activities.

The position reports to the Program Director.

Responsibilities :

1. Serves as the primary organizational contact for customers who are interested in energy technology upgrades, connecting them to qualified contractors, and supporting their participation in relevant incentive programs.

The Program Coordinator is also responsible for ongoing project management and oversight while serving as a liaison between customers and contractors.

2. Provides technical help to potential enrollees by answering questions about clean energy technologies, energy efficiency audits, and referred installer quotes.

3. Contributes to the development and implementation of the clean energy program by noting barriers to access in clean energy adoption and by increasing familiarity with underutilized NYSERDA programs that may help clients adopt clean energy.

4. Participates in check-in calls with NYSERDA, program partners, and the installer(s), as well as with other community campaigns.

5. Submits reports as required by NYSERDA and campaign partners.

6. Contributes to marketing the program and communicating clear messaging to consumers seeking to maximize energy efficiency.

7. Organizes opportunities for public engagement and education, including planning, promoting, coordinating, and delivering public presentations.

Qualifications : A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education is required. Must be able to interface with clients and provide support.

Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Must be able to provide clear, consistent, and accurate reporting on outcomes of his / her work is essential.

Pre-existing familiarity with clean energy is preferred. Fluency in Spanish and / or other languages is highly desirable.
