This is a second shift position, working 4x 10 hour days.
Monday-Thursday, 3:30 pm - 2:00am

Occupational Summary:

Assembly Operators is primarily responsible for work station and/or assembly operations to produce components or to assemble those components into completed bearing or bearing products by performing the duties shown below.

Essential Functions: This position is an entry level position. All applicants will be evaluated on their ability to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas within the first 90 days of hire. Training will be provided. This is an entry level position.

• Performs any assembly type functions, using hand tools, mechanical equipment and/or measuring equipment
• Reads, references and interprets written and verbal instructions; always following established standard procedures
• Maintains established production levels and quality standards
• Visually or through the use of a microscope, inspect various conditions of unassembled/assembled bearings
• Recognize and report any irregularities as to fits, defective parts, finishes, work techniques and/or quality of workmanship
• Maintains necessary records; work is subject to audited inspections
• Handle parts according to established procedures
• Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Performs related duties as assigned by leadership

Job Skills:

Gain proficiency in a minimum of one (1) of the following functional areas of Assembly:

Gauging

Rivet insertion

Scribe operation

Pack or Shield

Ability to read and understand complex written and verbal instructions in English

Good manual and concentrated visual attention and dexterity skills

Requirements:

Education: - High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: - Demonstrated work history; experience in assembling components a plus

Abilities:

Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization

Ability to wear clean room uniform including mask; excess jewelry not permitted, limited make up permitted

Other Requirements:

Note: Physical job requirements may include standing, use of hands to assemble and or carry out job functions as well as sitting, lifting, carrying, bending and stooping during the course of the job.

Ability to lift 40 lbs
