Summary
ABOUT THE NEW HAMPSHIRE CHILDREN?S TRUST
New Hampshire Children?s Trust (NHCT) is the Governor-designated statewide child abuse prevention agency, the New Hampshire Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, and a member of the National Alliance of Children?s Trust and Prevention Funds. The mission of New Hampshire Children?s Trust (NHCT) is to lead the drive to strengthen families and to ensure safe, stable, and nurturing relationships and environments for children. Our vision is the elimination of child abuse and neglect.
NHCT serves as the backbone organization for the state?s network of Family Resource Centers (FRCs) and collaborates regularly with other family strengthening agencies, initiatives, and systems. The emergence of this backbone role has led to the development of a common data system for FRCs, along with outcome and impact reporting and collaborative learning within and across sectors.

Duties
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Program Manager: Primary Prevention at NHCT plays a crucial role in the development, coordination, and implementation of primary prevention initiatives. This role involves strategic planning, coordination of events, training and technical assistance, promotion of evidence-based practices, public representation, community engagement, and ensuring the inclusion of family voice in all aspects of NHCT's activities. Additionally, the Program Manager: Primary Prevention helps other sectors/partners understand the role of primary prevention in advancing NHCT?s mission.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Development:
  • Coordinate and articulate NHCT's primary prevention plan, aligning it strategically with organizational priorities and policies.
  • Inform the agency's communication strategy and public-facing information, ensuring a consistent focus on primary prevention.
Public Representation and Community Engagement:
  • Represent NHCT publicly on Wellness and Primary Prevention Council (WPPC), committees, task forces, and commissions, emphasizing involvement in policy, DEI, and legislative initiatives aligned with the primary prevention plan.
  • Lead agency community engagement strategies to enhance collaboration and support within the community.
Population Strategies and Evidence-Based Practices:
  • Educate and promote selected population strategies based on national research and a public health approach.
  • Advocate for evidence-based strategies and recommend specific practices for broader adoption.
Training and Technical Assistance:
  • FRC-Q Process Management:
  • Manage and coordinate the FRC-Q process, providing technical assistance to applicant FRCs to ensure adherence to standards and delivery of quality programming.
  • Assist the WPPC in maintaining high-quality standards for FRCs.
  • Training Program Oversight:
  • Manage the planning and coordination of annual trainings and events outlined by the Senior Program Director.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining training policies and practices, ensuring alignment with NHCT's goals.
  • Educational Initiatives:
  • Conduct training sessions on the Strengthening Families Framework, Standards of Quality, Diversity and Cultural Competence, and other primary prevention-related topics.
Event Coordination:
  • Assure that the content of agency events aligns with primary prevention objectives.
  • Participate actively in the planning and execution of events to promote primary prevention initiatives.
Family Voice Inclusion:
  • Family-Centric Approach:
  • Ensure the inclusion of family voice in NHCT planning and activities, adhering to state contract deliverables.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
� Maintain a high level of confidentiality as it relates to the agency and all records/documents.
� Actively engages in initiatives and/or practices that foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment within the organization, aligning with NHCT's commitment to DEI values and principles.
� Understand and meet local/state data requirements for partners.
� Actively participate in internal and external meetings to provide positive input and contribute to problem solving.
� Maintain professionalism in line with NHCT policies and standards.
� Participate in sub-committees and workgroups as needed.
� Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of NHCT.
