NGC Group is Hiring a Construction Project Manager Near Lone Tree, CO

As a Project Manager, you will contribute to our company by managing projects from initial planning to completion. This position will be responsible for ensuring the specifications are being strictly followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the Project Management team, you will be responsible for the overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting and control, while working together with the other project team members. The best candidate will be experienced in managing ground-up commercial projects, as well as working with and developing Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, or Field Engineers.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

  • Lead all aspects of the company’s safety culture for assigned projects.
  • Support the preconstruction team, which may include scope review, bid package development, schedule development, and other related tasks for assigned projects.
  • Prepare, monitor, and update the project schedule with the project Superintendent. Manage materials, labor, and procurement logs to ensure schedule is met.
  • Provide ongoing identification of potential schedule impacts and facilitate mitigation plans for those impacts.
  • Manage the subcontract and submittal processes from issuance to execution. Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts and disseminate change requests.
  • Provide ongoing risk analysis of subcontractors throughout project lifecycle and cross-communicate with other departments.
  • Prepare monthly cost and margin forecast with input from Superintendent and review with the Project Team.
  • Lead the monthly billing process including subcontractor invoice approval and owner pay application preparation.
  • Lead various meetings including OAC meetings.
  • Lead overall project closeout process using best practice standards, tools, and processes.
  • Provide consistent oversight, developmental guidance, and training for Project Engineers while taking accountability for their performance.

You Should Apply if You Are/Have

  • 5 years commercial construction project management experience.
  • 2-3 years project management experience with a general contractor.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (Preferred).
  • Proficiency in Procore (or similar), Microsoft Project (or similar), and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with and developing Assistant Project Managers (or similar position).
  • Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability and generate future work through building relationships.

  • Have previous experience with ground-up multifamily (i.e., apartment complex) or hospitality (i.e., hotel) projects.
