We are a high-growth organization that counts many of the world’s most admired brands as customers. nfrastructure is a CRN Triple Crown winner, a member of the Fast Growth 150, Tech Elite 250 and Solution Provider 500, Inc.’s Build 100 List of Sustained-Growth Companies, Inc.’s 500|5000 list, and are recognized as both a Times Union Top Workplace and a Best Company to Work for in New York State.Job DescriptionThe role: Electrical EstimatorAs the Electrical Estimator you will prepare electrical cost estimates for construction projects, or engineering services to aid management in bidding on or determining price of construction or service.​Responsibilities:Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction supervision to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issuesProvide detailed estimates in a timely manorRecognize contract scope utilizing in-house crews or subcontractorsBid document distribution to subcontractors and vendors. Identify scope requirements for vendors and subcontractorsAnalyze blueprints, construction drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimatesPrepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractorsConfer with engineers, designers, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimatesPrepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling workAssess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project developsConduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reductionReview material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to construct or sub-contract componentsPrepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractorsEstablish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiationsQualifications​Requirements:Associate’s degree in related field or industry or equivalent experience5 or more years of formal electrical estimating experience on commercial construction projectsMust be fluent in AccuBid ElectricalAdditional InformationAbout nfrastructure:nfrastructure partners with the world’s most admired brands to design, build, and operate infrastructure and applications for digital business.
