Title: Diesel Technician
Pay: Competitive pay - rate varies and depends on experience level & certifications.
Sign-On Bonus:$2,000 paid out with the first 90 days of employment
Schedule: Set hours per week with the opportunity for OT

NFI Diesel Technician Expectations & Requirements:
- Follow DOT & OSHA safety procedures consistently
- Perform proper preventive maintenance
- Diagnose and repair of tractor and trailer-related defects & repairs
- Examine, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical problems using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment
- Perform emergency road calls
- Perform DOT inspection per FMSCA guidelines
- Assist in parts inventory management
- Must be able to communicate with internal customers and have good customer service, oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restriction, stand or lie for extended periods to repair equipment, and have flexible movement: to reach equipment and/or parts and maneuver equipment
- Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions and an environment with excessive noise and respiratory hazards without restriction

- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (Minimum B CDL required within 90 Days of hire)
- Own necessary essential tools
- Technical or advanced degree or equivalent maintenance experience
- Preferred ASE Certification in 4 areas, including PM and brakes
- Preferred exposure to Windows-based computer systems
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs & maintenance
- Successfully demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Examples of teamwork and customer service skills, including good oral and written communication skills.
