Job Summary:

The Vendor Service Supervisor is responsible for approving, tracking and monitoring the quality of all outside repair work at NFI Industries sites that are not handled by an NFI Maintenance facility. This role relies on overall maintenance and transportation knowledge to quickly identify the problem and to have the equipment repaired as quickly and cost efficiently as possible. Provides leadership and support to the Vendor Services teams. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Maintenance Support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Approves all necessary repair work
• Coordinates and follows up with vendors to arrange and complete work.
• Inputs all repair information into maintenance system.
• Train, instruct and mentor newer team members.
• Recognize maintenance issues, define cause and determine a solution in timely basis.
• Provide weekly and monthly reporting to the Sr. Manager of Maintenance Support.
• Will supervise a team of 6-8 employees.
• Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.

Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years’ experience in truck repair and/or forklift procedures or purchasing
• Computer applications using MS Office
• Prior experience in management and technical/operations mechanics
• Excellent negotiating skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent technical skills
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

Other:

• Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and potentially holidays as needed
