About this Position / Responsibilities

NFF is looking for a Sr. Enterprise Messaging Engineer to support a Washington DC based client’s Digital Modernization efforts. The selected candidate will participate in the design and/or review of a distributed Microsoft Windows infrastructure. Provide top tier support administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting Exchange 2016 or greater, Windows 2016 Active Directory (AD) or greater and mail gateways in a distributed Exchange environment and ensure best practices are implemented. Manage and monitor Windows OS servers and Microsoft systems.

Experience and Job Responsibilities:

• Expert knowledge of virtual server technology, configuration, and deployment strategies.
• Knowledge of industry standard messaging systems, anti-spam and anti-virus solutions.
• Design, configure and implement a virtual server environment for enterprise messaging
• Provide 24x7 response and assistance for all urgent and related responsibilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail required.
• Expert experience administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting Blackberry enterprise servers.
• Understanding of enterprise mail filtering concepts is required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 5 yrs. Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP, LDAP, SNMP, SMTP, and other networking protocols
• 5 yrs. Expertise in developing and testing disaster recovery procedures for a full production Exchange Deployments including Active Directory ensuring COOP
• 8 yrs. Experience with Microsoft Exchange, including 2016, DAG replication; and Outlook
• 5 yrs. Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining SuSE Linux Enterprise Server including Novell applications and services
• 5 yrs. Experience with implementation and support of Microsoft 365 Suite products
• 5 yrs. experience with managing and support of Group Policy at all levels (local, OU, site, etc.)
• 5 yrs. Experience with Data Protection Manager and/or Symantec NetBackup is required
• 3 yrs. Experience integrating heterogeneous mail systems is required
•  5 yrs. Experience with at least 1 language (Powershell, PERL, and VBscript) and standard tools (LDIFDE) 
• 3 yrs. Experience with Ironmail appliances and Microsoft Forefront is Highly desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology
• Microsoft Exchange related certifications Highly desired.
