Area Director Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities (include and are not limited to the following):

Administrative Duties

  • Review Properties’ ADP Time and Attendance and Scheduler to ensure property stays within the budgeted allotted weekly hours and, if not, course correct.
  • Check LDR reports weekly and before final payroll submission.
  • Pull ADP reports weekly to include approaching overtime, 30-day no pay, and matrix, to name a few.
  • Ensure Team Scheduler is in place for payroll budget compliance
  • Create an effective communication channel (WhatsApp or GroupMe) to keep the team updated on client feedback, operational changes, schedule changes, etc.
  • Oversee and drive each property's financial management process, meeting targets.
  • Utilize NFC’s project management system Monday.com daily, detailing each property’s performance and client’s feedback.
  • Create a strategy and recover plans for poor-performing financial projects.
  • Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions.
  • Supervise new project opening processes
  • Ensure the project management system is reviewed and utilized adequately by site directors.
  • Create and deliver any assigned reports to Regional Director and maintain effective meeting notes.
  • Supervises implementation of a marketing plan to maximize revenues at properties budgeted for ancillary revenues. (spa/fitness)
  • Assess opportunities to enhance residents' experience and provides recommendations to property management
  • Actively promotes company initiatives with clients and team members.
  • Manage employee PTO (paid time off) requests through ADP.
  • Ensure NFC On Time is installed and actively used at every property
  • Maintain a 95% score on monthly report cards

Recruiting and Hiring

  • Assist with assessing and vetting candidate pools for open site director positions
  • Post all Indeed openings for positions in your region
  • Ensure all properties are fully staffed with top-performing staff members
  • Train New Concierge Directors in their portfolio
  • Make it a point to meet with new employees within their portfolio within ten days of the new hire’s start date.
  • Always be proactive in recruiting future team members.

Property Visits

  • Conduct weekly visits to all properties to evaluate operations, talent, and client experiences.
  • Review and evaluate your team identifying them as your Enthusiastic Beginners

( Green), Disillusioned Employee (Yellow), or your Red Zone employees (Red). Create an action plan for your Disillusioned employees to improve their performance. Follow appropriate disciplinary measures and partner with HR to remove all Red Zone employees.

  • Supervise and guide your team of Site directors, creating a positive work environment.
  • Property visits must include visits to all shifts, including weekends, every month.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s policies, operational guidelines, and

Performance Standards of excellence are followed by team members.

  • Covers shifts for team members to ensure proper staffing requirements are maintained when necessary
  • Hold scheduled monthly meetings with site directors. Ensure all site managers are following NFC’s Daily Dozen standards and expectations daily.
  • Attend quarterly staff meetings at respective properties
  • Lead by example.

Training and Staff Development

  • Actively perform a comprehensive training of all site directors, utilizing the training checklists.
  • Conducts and oversees our Manage and Engage training and other company training modules as directed.
  • Ensure that all site directors are equipped with the proper training and guidelines to interview and hire candidates for their open positions
  • Utilize our “Tell, Show, Do, Show Me” training model to ensure entire team is fully trained and react intelligently and quickly to any emergencies.
  • We are always looking for ways to “Wow” all clients by exceeding their expectations and striving to provide aggressive hospitality.
  • Monitors and reviews daily employee performance and provides the necessary support, training, or counseling. Work with Concierge Director on any individual development plans.
  • In coordination with site directors, identify a successor for all properties.
  • Make recommendations and work with both the operations team and corporate leadership to create and implement policies and programs that will improve the company and the lives of the employees.
  • Enforce NFC grooming and uniform standards daily.
  • Implement an employee engagement strategy for all site directors.
  • Audit ongoing training a development process per property, including participation in

NFC University, new hire, and ongoing employee training.

  • Utilize company HR employee management tools to hold site directors accountable.

Administer progressive discipline using Coach and Counseling forms and PerformanceImprovement Plans for underperformers.

  • Follows HR and Risk Management protocols by providing detailed incident reports and monitoring follow-up until resolution is reached.
  • Focus on developing team members for growth in the company.

Client Relations

  • Schedule a minimum of one formal sit-down meeting with clients every month to gain honest feedback on the operation, ensuring we meet and exceed expectations.
  • Establish rapport with property management, developing a strong working relationship.
  • Acts as a primary liaison for developers, boards of directors, property managers, and clients.
  • Create strategy and recovery plans for poor-performing operational projects. Follow

NFC property recovery guidelines.

  • Responds to clients’ emails promptly. If the email came in during work hours during workdays, the email should be responded to the same day; if it came in later in the day, it should be responded to no later than the next business morning.
  • Address client issues and inquiries in an accurate and timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
