Nexus Therapy is now hiring for a part-time Registered Behavior Technician position for the upcoming summer school ESY program, with the potential to renew for the entire 2024-2025 school year. The summer schedule is 8:00-12:00 (students in session 8:30-11:30, so paid planning and collaboration time built in on each side of the work day) Monday-Thursday July 1 - August 1 (except July 4). This position pays $35 per hour with 4 billable hours per day worked (16 hours per week)! You would be working on-site with a great, supportive district near lovely Plaistow, New Hampshire. You would be providing 1:1 support to an energetic 5-year-old preschooler who is learning how to learn. :) Must be licensed as a RBT in the state of New Hampshire. BCBA supervision will be provided.

Responsibilities:

- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior

- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans

- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

- Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills

- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure consistency in implementing behavior strategies

- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred. Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician

- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus

- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary clearances

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
