Nexus Talent Connect is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Attorney to join a growing boutique firm in Long Island, NY. The successful candidate will possess exceptional research, writing, verbal communication, and organizational abilities, coupled with a proven track record in litigation. Leverage your keen legal mind, attention to detail, and make a direct impact in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting Motions: Prepare and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents necessary for litigation proceedings.
  • Conducting or Preparing for Depositions and Trials: Conduct depositions of witnesses, expert witnesses, and other parties involved in the case. Additionally, prepare thoroughly for trials, including witness preparation, evidence gathering, and strategy formulation.
  • Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies, including precedent analysis, statutory interpretation, and case law review.
  • Document Review: Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, discovery materials, and evidence to identify relevant information and develop case strategies.
  • Court Appearances: Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, motions, and trials. Present arguments persuasively and effectively advocate on behalf of clients' interests. Court appearances are typically Long Island, NYC, or Westchester).
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients to provide updates on case developments, discuss strategy, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Case Management: Manage caseload efficiently, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to ensure timely and effective representation of clients.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in New York.
  • 2-6 years of experience in litigation, with a demonstrated track record of successful outcomes.
  • Excellent research, writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Strong commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client advocacy.

Compensation and Benefits 

  • Full-time position
  • Salary: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
  • Benefits: 401(k), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Paid time off, Vision insurance
