Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting residents with their medication needs and ensuring their overall well-being. Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to residents according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Document medication administration accurately and timely
- Assist with medication refills and inventory management
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management
- Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized medication area

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medication Aide or similar role preferred (at least 1 year in LTC)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and systems (Cerner, Epic, etc.)
- Familiarity with phlebotomy procedures is a plus
- Experience in home care, hospital, or senior care settings is highly desirable
- Understanding of dementia care and specialized needs of elderly individuals
- Ability to handle tube feeding and other specialized medical procedures

Requirements:
- Valid Medication Aide certification/license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
