COMPANY OVERVIEW 

NextFlex, America’s Flexible Hybrid Electronics Manufacturing Innovation Institute, is a public-private partnership and non-profit with the mission of advancing the capabilities of U.S. manufacturing in the field of Flexible Hybrid Electronics (FHE). NextFlex was designed to facilitate the development of enabling manufacturing technologies and knowledge sharing with institute members and the U.S. Government. Our work enables the next generation electronics and packaging for government and commercial applications for medical, wearable, asset monitoring, structural health monitoring, soft robotics, integrated array antennas, automotive, agricultural technology applications, among other applications.

Complementing NextFlex’s focus on developing and commercializing emerging technologies, NextFlex’s Education and Workforce Development department is creating the next-generation STEM workforce for the electronics industry. In support of our education and workforce development goals, NextFlex develops and operates a portfolio of learning programs designed to be adopted by various stakeholders (employers, higher education, non-profit, and K-12 entities) across the country with the goal of attracting and training the future advanced manufacturing workforce and upskilling and retraining the existing workforce.

POSITION SUMMARY 

This position reports to the Customer Success Manager and is responsible for supporting the coordination and implementation of workforce development programming, as well as assisting with a range of other activities. The WFD Customer Success Associate should have demonstrated success building close and successful relationships with partners, executing on complex operational workflows, and conducting detail orientated research.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Help facilitate initial and follow-on training for customers (adopters)
  • Prepare program and collateral materials, ensuring all necessary resources are updated and current prior to providing them to adopters
  • Track adopter engagement and encourage community through regular communication, metric collection, meeting minutes, and various reporting mechanisms
  • Assist in providing background and information on best practices through formal and informal communications
  • Help facilitate FlexFactor Professional Learning Communities by drafting meeting slides, collating stakeholder feedback, scheduling follow-up meetings, and writing summary content
  • Provide customer insights to department leadership to assess trends and opportunities for action
  • Conduct research on K-14 STEM opportunities available to FlexFactor participants with a particular emphasis on pre-identified geographies and connections to the Department of Defense
  • Aid in the drafting of content across website, member portal, and other social media platforms
  • Engage with members directly to raise awareness of events, EWD programming, and opportunities for collaboration
  • Support execution of NextFlex events

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) 

Successful candidates will be able to keep pace in a fast-moving environment defined by hard deadlines and rapidly moving pieces. Critical skills and attributes include attention to detail; organization; creativity; and agility. 

Candidates must also have:

  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and basic Adobe proficiency
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel or other similar software for data manipulation and analysis
  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Enrolled in or awarded a Bachelor’s Degree

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.

The physical demands of this position are somewhat strenuous, often requiring the employee to lift 50 /-pound boxes of program materials and presentation paraphernalia. 

On-site office work will be conducted using general office equipment, includes substantial sitting and is performed primarily in a typical indoor office setting with cubicles, offices, and conference rooms. Low to moderate noise and interruptions typical of an office setting, such as peer conversations, computers, printers, and phones.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 

  • A valid driver’s license required
  • Up to 10% travel (air and auto)

WORK AUTHORIZATION / REQUIREMENTS 

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be one of the following: a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
