JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

Registered Nurse Director - Post-Surgical Care

RN DIR - POST-OP

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Director position of the Post-Surgical Care Unit will have the following job responsibilities:

  • As the Director, you are responsible for the management and provision of nursing care rendered in the departments managed. You will plan, organize, and evaluate patient care within the program to develop and maintain high quality, evidence-based care for your patients.
  • You are responsible and accountable for nursing care rendered in the departments, based on the Nursing Process--assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • You will determine and ensures the competence of all staff members is assessed, maintained, demonstrated, and improved on an ongoing basis.
  • You will participate in selecting sources for needed services not provided by the departments or the organization.
  • You are responsible for ensuring core measure patients are identified and protocols followed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Registered Nurse Director - Post-Surgical Care

RN DIR - POST-OP

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Director position of the Post-Surgical Care Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required. Master's preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • 2 years of RECENT acute care hospital MANAGER experience within the POST-SURGICAL UNIT (However if candidate is Med-Surg/Tele experience, we can submit those candidates)

Salary: $39.00 (min), $48.75 (mid), $58.50 (max) *BASED ON YEARS OF EXPERIENCE plus incentive bonus
