Description

Position Overview: Under the general supervision and guidance of the Vice President of Programs, the Director of Childcare Partnerships is responsible for implementation and compliance of the CCP (Child Care Partnerships) program, and general oversight and management of the CCP program. The Director will ensure all federal and state regulations are followed with fidelity.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Oversee the planning and implementation of the CCP program in collaboration with selected partner child care programs and in accordance with the Head Start Standards and State Licensing.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements of funding sources.
  • Support staff and partners to ensure all 45 and 90 day HS requirements are met.
  • Meet with other community partners to facilitate collaboration and enhance childcare subsidy resources for partners and their enrolled children.
  • Develop and implement a monitoring plan and policies and procedures for HS programming that meets HS Performance Standards.
  • Develop and implement program improvement plans based on program information report (PIR), self-assessment, community needs assessment, and other data as available.
  • Schedule regular meetings with Partner Directors and resource organizations.
  • Schedule and prepare written reports as needed.
  • Ensure coordination with internal resources and contractual resources for health, services, family support and other services as needed.
  • Participate in fund development activities.
  • Coordinate and align program functions all ND programs.
  • Analyze information and data from internal and external sources to set program goals and objectives and monitor progress toward goals and objectives.
  • Visit partnership sites on a monthly basis
  • Collaborate with VP of Programs to develop and implement Next Door's School Readiness Goals.
  • Function as a member of the Senior Program Leadership team and participate in all planning for agency program services.
  • Coordinate and oversee all training for the CCP partners including the quarterly Jump Start conference.
  • Review biweekly licensing for all partnership sites
  • Oversee implementation of the CCP Training and Technical Assistance plan.

Supervision of Staff

  • Facilitate weekly and bi-weekly meetings with direct staff.
  • Oversee CCP Managers to ensure successful implementation of educational services for CCP sites.
  • Facilitate reflective supervision for direct reports.
  • Participate in hiring processes and train staff within the CCP department and partner sites.

Budget

  • Work with Grant Accountant to manage the budget for the Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Grant.
  • Review and monitor in-kind from partners to ensure requirements are met.

Program Operations

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the CCP program.

Community Partnerships

  • Manage contracts related to the CCP program.
  • Meet and make presentations to partners, funders, media and the public at large.
  • Maintain effective partnerships with child care partners.

Other

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Accountability and Performance Requirement

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services or related field required, At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Head Start Standards or similar standards.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development, assessment and evaluative methods and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate staff and facilitate staff development.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage in a complex organizational structure
  • Ability to manage in a high intensity environment.
  • Strong time management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in with culturally diverse families and low-income families.
  • Valid driver's license and liability insurance of $100,000/$300,000 on first day of employment.

Preferences

  • Master's degree preferred.
