• Pay: $150 per day (4 classes/day).
• Schedule: Three sessions: (1) Mon-Thu 8:00 am- 12:00 pm from | (2) Mon-Fri 8:00 am- 12:00 pm | (3) Mon-Thu 8:00 am- 12:00 pm.
• Grades: (1) K-2nd| (2) 3rd-5th | (3) 6th-7th .
• Location: 1260 Superior Ave. Calumet City, IL 60409.
• Dates: (1) June 10 to June 13 | (2) June 17 to June 21 | (3) June 24 to June 27.
• STEM Knowledge: Some STEM background is preferable.

About Nexplore (www.nexploreusa.com): Nexplore is a national enrichment service provider with a mission statement to foster the joy of learning through a wide range of over 40 STEAM, Life Skills, and Fitness solutions offered as after-school, in-school, and summer programs.

Nexplore Instructor Role: The Nexplore Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, in-person STEAM classes for grades K-5 in Chicagoland. Supplied with lesson plans, curriculum, and materials, the Nexplore Instructor is responsible for preparing for instruction and teaching students. They will report to a Nexplore Program Success Manager.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Arrive on time and prepared to teach (must review lesson plans and materials prior to instruction)
• Manage instructional materials
• Deliver lessons from Nexplore’s collection of 40 programs (schedule/lessons will be provided)
• Follow required teacher:student classroom ratios at all times, as relevant
• Communicate and collaborate with Nexplore Program Success Manager and site personnel

Qualifications:

• Part-time position
• AA Degree (or higher)
• 2 years teaching/instructing (preferred)
• Passion for education and fostering the joy of learning in children
• Experience working with children
• Educational (development or training) experience
• Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
• Must commit to the full proposed schedule
• Great communication and presentation skills

Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Willing to complete a background check and fingerprints
• Willing to complete mandatory training

• COVID-19 vaccination may be required

Compensation

• Compensation is $150/day, which are 4 classes.
• 50 cents/mile if driving more than 20 miles roundtrip.
