Committed to care, our Laboratory Technician I can enter a room and bring comfort, calm, and compassion. Join a team of Phlebotomists in a fast-paced hospital, outpatient laboratory drawing blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians in accordance with established procedures.

Phlebotomy Tech – Laboratory – Day Flex (6am-2pm; 8am-4pm)

This position is a per diem Day Flex (6am-2pm; 8am-4pm) position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital located at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester County, NY 10567 and the Cold Spring location at 1756 Route 9D, Cold Spring, NY.

Preferred Criteria

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience and expertise in venipuncture technique preferred.
• Some laboratory training and EKG experience preferred.

Required Criteria

• Ability to deal with patients pleasantly to minimize trauma to patients.
• Must be able to function well under the normal pressures of hospital laboratory work.
• Possess effective communication and organizational skills.
• Possess computer skills appropriate for the position.
