Housekeeping Aide Floor Care - Building Service - Full Time - Overnight Shift

At NewYork-Presbyterian, our housekeeping staff is essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. From friendly smiles and conversations, to the continuous focus on infection control, our housekeeping professionals help to provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital. If you’re ready to play a key role in the care and caring of our patients, explore the following position:

Maintain the Hospital floors as directed in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition. Sweeps and scrubs floors utilizing brooms, mops and scrubbing/polishing machines. Strips old finish from floors using stripping/waxing machines. Applies new finish (wax) to floors with the use of waxing/polishing machines Go above and beyond for patients to deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety at all times. 

This is a full time position, working 12:00am-8:00am, including every weekend/holiday.

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of automatic floor scrubbing machines, floor buffer machines, wet/dry vacuums and floor care chemicals
