Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
Qualifications
? Hold a valid CT teaching certificate for this position
? Be skilled in using a wide range of media/technology to improve student learning
? Collaborate with classroom teachers to promote integration of information literacy into content area
instruction
? Possess a strong commitment to promoting a positive school culture
? Effectively manage the collection, maintenance/repair, inventory, and scheduling
? Support and manage staff volunteers in the Media Center
? Create a positive and effective classroom
Responsibilities
? Develop and implement lessons that support the library media curriculum
? Collaborate with staff members to support student research in the content areas
- Appropriately delegate responsibilities to library staff and parent volunteers
? Commitment to delivering technology-enhanced instruction
? Desire to embrace the cognitive/social developmental stage of young adolescence
? Provide guidance in the selection of appropriate reading material for curricular requirements and recreational reading
Certification: Must possess Connecticut Certification (048, 062)
