| Summary: | |||
| SPACE Camp Upper School Head Teachers provide instruction for incoming 5th-9th grade students within the camp setting. Hours of work are 8:45 am - 3:45 pm, with a half hour lunch break. | |||
Qualifications: | |||
| ·Experience in a classroom setting ·Teaching degree/certification strongly desired | |||
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To): | |||
| ·Responsible for 5-15 students age 5th grade-9th grade ·Teach and support students in specific courses they are teaching ·Create and implement curriculum related to course subject or theme ·Coordinate and collaborate with special education staff to support students with disabilities ·Consistent, reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the students ·Responsible for implementing “other job related duties” as needed. | |||
Work Environment & Physical Requirements: | |||
| Work Environment: ·Work is performed in a school/classroom environment, as well as outdoors. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate. Physical Requirements: ·While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, talk, and hear. The employee is regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch and/or kneel. · Regularly required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
