Summary:
SPACE Camp Musical Theater Teacher/Director will implement and put on a junior musical theater performance for incoming 5th-9th grade students within the camp setting. This role includes casting, choreographing, and directing a performance with three and a half weeks of preparation time in the mornings, as well as coordinating a cabaret performance in the afternoons. Hours of work are 8:45 am - 3:45 pm, with a half hour lunch break.
Qualifications:
* Experience in a classroom setting
* Musical Theater Background and directing/assistant directing experience
* Teaching degree/certification strongly desired

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To):
* Responsible for 5-15 students age 5th grade-9th grade
* Teach and support students in specific courses they are teaching
* Create and implement curriculum related to course subject or theme
* Coordinate and collaborate with special education staff to support students with disabilities
* Consistent, reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the students
* Responsible for implementing "other job related duties" as needed
