This role collaborates closely with management to ensure employee satisfaction, retention, and seamless payroll processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in human resources or a related field, with proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Fluent in Spanish, capable of translating, reading, and writing.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and reliable, with a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with QuickBooks Desktop is preferred.
  • Familiarity with wage withholding orders.
  • Accurate data entry skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee queries promptly.
  • Demonstrated sound decision-making abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Adapt at working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including enrollment and orientation on company policies and procedures.
  • Assist employees with enrollment in insurance benefits
  • Coordinate leaves of absence and process claims, including medical operations and worker's compensation.
  • Manage the creation, updating, and closure of employee files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate processing of deductions, bonuses, and other payroll-related tasks.
  • Maintain OSHA log of injuries and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Process employee terminations, coordinating with payroll to ensure the completion of necessary tasks such as uniform collection and final insurance deductions.
  • Collect and process employee payroll data and timesheets, verifying work hours and payments through the payroll system.
  • Update payroll records with any changes to employee information or benefits.
  • Prepare reports
  • Calculate payroll liabilities, including employee taxes and employer payments for social security, unemployment, and worker's compensation.
  • Address employee payroll queries promptly and maintain confidentiality of payroll operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Hours: 8am-5pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
