Public Engagement Specialist
Join a vibrant and growing public relations and strategic communications firm. We're looking for a dynamic, energetic, positive, public engagement professional. Responsibilities and skills include planning and facilitation of successful public outreach events and activities, achieve inclusive community participation, organization and efficiency, quick learner, effective with tasks and comfortable with change, excellent written and spoken communications, drive to deliver for clients and company teams.

Primary Functions

  • Engage and communicate with diverse community members in varied methods and channels
  • Identify, plan and staff in-person engagement activities and events
  • Interact openly with the public on multiple projects in formal and less formal settings
  • Seek and achieve awareness and participation of essential communities
  • Report engagement and participation results and summaries
  • Strong ability to collaborate with partner consultant firms and clients
  • Implement communication approaches collaboratively to advance clients’ projects and campaigns
  • Build and sustain relationships with clients and partner consultants
  • Meet multiple deadlines and commitments
  • Discipline with internal planning and reporting
  • Identify opportunities to offer additional services with existing clients
  • Translation management, occasional language interpretation

Additional Duties:

Client Delivery

  • Support multiple client teams to deliver high-quality work, focused on client needs.
  • Create client-ready deliverables in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with strong project management.

Business Development and Company Growth

  • Assist with new project proposals
  • Assist with consultant and client relationships

  • Seek continuous improvement practices for client services and company performance.
  • Participate and be willing to play a role in company initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications: 2 or 4-year degree (or equivalent work experience) in Public Engagement, Communications, Public Relations, Public/Government Affairs, or a related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
