Newport Swim Team is Hiring an Assistant Coach Near Newport, OR

Job Summary

Position is responsible for assisting the head coach with organizing the Swimming program at the assigned school. Position assists with conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques.

Essential Duties

I. Responsible for direct coaching duties for assigned swimmers

a. Ensure on-going development of new and age group base.

b. Design training plans for assigned training groups.

II. Maintain attendance at all scheduled workouts.

III. Maintain clear and consistent communication with Head Coach regarding

practices and swim meets.

IV. Assist Head Coach in planning each season's meet and travel schedule

consistent with the needs of the team, individual training groups, and athletes and their families.

V. Assist with individual goal setting processes with all swimmers.

VI. Establishes an environment that fosters positive team attitudes,

encourages self-discipline, sportsmanship, and responsibility.

VII. Maintain all USA Swimming & OSI mandated certifications.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

I. Timely submit all hours, travel receipts for travel, lodging and professional expenses.

II. Maintain a professional working relationship with Newport Aquatic

management and staff.

IV. Maintain consistent and effective communication with all parents.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 12 per week

  • Swimming: 2 years (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Newport, OR 97365: Relocate before starting work (Required)
