WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES)...
We are currently seeking a motivated, caring, and empathetic intern to join our Healthy Transitions team. You will shadow a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is responsible for assessment and treatment to adolescents in our Healthy Transitions Team serving younger clients between the ages of 16 to 26.
This internship will allow you to learn about Newport Mental Health's person-centered approach to care and will allow the individual to shadow the clinician during their group, individual, and family therapy sessions; diagnostic assessments, including initial intakes and on-going assessments, as well as learning how to provide clinical consultation and guidance to case management staff.
This role will allow the intern to see how to complete records utilizing a collaborative documentation approach, how to participate in crisis response services, and how to serve as a client advocate.
