Newport Market is hiring a full-time Cashier to become their next team member. Weekends are required.

This position is responsible for efficient front-end operation, delivering a positive shopping experience, and accurately processing payments.

A day in the life of a Cashier involves:

• Complying with all front-end procedures.
• Adhering to all cashiering procedures and maintaining knowledge of all machine functions.
• Accurately processing all cash, checks, charges, and other company-recognized currency. Ensure accurate change is given to the customer.
• Observing all policies and bad check procedures when processing checks.
• Ensuring accuracy and promptness in checkout of customer orders.
• Requesting cashiers and courtesy clerks as needed to assist customers and eliminate wait times.
• Providing exceptional customer service by ensuring each customer is greeted and thanked.
• Building relationships and providing legendary service to all Rudy’s Markets customers.
• Complying with the maintenance and sanitation standards of the company and governmental regulatory agencies at all times.
• Complying with all company policies, programs, and directives specified in the Employee Handbook.
• Becoming familiar with all company safety and accident prevention policies, reporting all accidents to the Store Manager.
