Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Para Educator to join our team. As a Para Educator, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other staff members to provide support in the classroom. Your role will involve assisting with educational activities, behavior management, and promoting a positive learning environment.
Duties:
- Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide one-on-one support to students with developmental disabilities
- Help students with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility
- Support students in their social and emotional development
- Assist with behavior management strategies and interventions
- Collaborate with the teacher to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher
- Assist with classroom organization and preparation of materials
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development and educational strategies
- Experience working in a preschool or toddler care setting is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs
