About the Role :
The operator will work on a variety of fast-paced semi-automated and automated machinery. Tends process, which fills, marks, labels, caps, and packs / wraps containers in preparation of product shipment either domestically or internationally.
Reports to Shift Supervisor and follows instruction from either the direct Supervisor, Group Lead Operator, or designate.
The work involves the execution of specific rules or procedures and typically comprises a complete segment of an assignment or project of a broader scope.
The work product or service can have far-reaching effects in terms of overall accuracy, reliability, or acceptability of downstream processes or services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Detects and reports unsafe conditions, equipment, or situations
Reports unusual occurrences and incidents to Supervisor
Uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for work area (glasses, hearing protection, footwear).
Starts machine and observes operation, reporting malfunction to Supervisor or designate.
Clears conveyor jams as required.
Scans pallets of finished goods (cases of filled cans).
Takes second sample of every run to QC Lab for inspection.
Puts away incoming can label that will be use for the day.
Loads, unloads, reconfigures and tends equipment, which performs one or more packaging functions such as depalletizing, filling, marking, labeling, capping, packing, or wrapping containers.
Makes minor adjustments, repairs, or cleans equipment. Secures chemical hoses to dispensing valves, checks open / close function, changes hoses as needed, sets guides, clears away damaged product from work area.
Inspects filled containers to ensure product packed to specifications.
Feeds line by hand from pallets feeding devices including rotating turntable, walking tabletop, and other feeding devices.
Manually moves dauber attached can caps to dispenser and verifies proper dauber insertion.
Packs filled containers (1 / 4 pint; pint, pint, quart, and gallon capacity) into cases / cartons; based on instruction, seals cases with handheld pneumatic box stapler or hot melt carton sealer.
Ensures each filled case is date stamped and properly labeled
Ensures auxiliary equipment (labelers, carton formers, staplers) are always production ready. Ensures stamps / markers are production ready with correct lot number, expiration date, or shipping destination.
Education and Experience Requirements :
1 year manufacturing experience preferred

English, Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
Physical Requirements :
Able to lift 40 lbs
