Newbury Smiles is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Newbury, CA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help ensure a comfortable and efficient patient experience.

Position is for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8-5.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for dental procedures by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patients
- Assist the dentist with procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment processes
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies

Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role
- Knowledge of Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Familiarity with dental receptionist duties and patient assessment systems
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in aseptic technique, medical records management, and medical coding
- Certification in dental assisting is preferred

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic dental practice where you can enhance your skills while providing essential support to our patients and dental team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
