Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description:

This position requires an experienced, energetic, and detail-focused individual who is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions, management, and customer service. Responsibilities include but are not limited to stock checks, forklift operation, shipping/receiving, packaging, organizing, assembly of products, parts, custom orders, and providing excellent customer service. The Warehouse Supervisor will train others, also check quality and quantity before shipping or receiving while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.

The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance and administration of policies, procedures, and practices at their assigned location. As part of the onsite management team, they ensure the highest level of standards are achieved to meet the company's commitment to service, sustainability, safety, and solutions through proven leadership skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Staff Management: You oversee the daily activities of warehouse workers, including hiring, training, assigning tasks, employee scheduling, timekeeping, performance reviews, corrective actions, and submission of required payroll data. It's essential to maintain a motivated and productive team.

Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse building, yard and equipment. Ensuring that the equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and repaired to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. It also involves managing repairs and renovations as needed to ensure the facility remains safe and operational.

Inventory Control: Track and monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts. Coordinate and assist with cycle counting and regular audits, to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

Inventory Receiving: Coordinate and assist in receiving activities to ensure that incoming shipments are accurately logged, inspected for quality, and stored appropriately.

Safety Compliance: Safety is a top priority in the warehouse. You enforce safety protocols and ensure that all employees adhere to safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Conducting regular safety inspections and providing appropriate training is part of this responsibility.

Quality Control: You monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing goods to ensure they meet company standards. This may involve implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and addressing any issues promptly.

Operational Efficiency: You strive to optimize warehouse operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs. This may include implementing process improvements, streamlining workflows, and identifying areas for automation.

Order Fulfillment: Coordinate and assist with picking, packing, and shipping of orders to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment while minimizing errors.

Customer Service: Serving as a point of contact for customers regarding orders, deliveries, and product inquiries/availability. This involves maintaining good communication and promptly addressing customer concerns and providing excellent service to maintain customer satisfaction.

Documentation and Reporting: Keeping accurate records of inventory transactions, employee performance, safety inspections, and other relevant data is crucial. You may also be responsible for generating reports to track key performance metrics and inform decision-making.

Problem Solving: As issues arise in the warehouse, you're tasked with troubleshooting problems and finding effective solutions. This requires critical thinking, quick decision-making, and strong problem-solving skills.

Continuous Improvement: Striving for continuous improvement is essential in warehouse management. You regularly evaluate processes, seek feedback from employees, and implement changes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.

Qualifications:

□ 3 years of experience in Warehouse Management.

□ Experience in cell tower industry preferred.

□ Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

□ Able to perform work accurately and thoroughly in a fast-paced environment.

□ Ability to meet challenging deadlines in an efficient and profitable manner.

□ Able to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.

□ Able to take care of the customers' needs while following company policies and procedures.

□ Able to effectively build relationships with customers and coworkers.

□ Must be able to operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.

□ Ability to properly handle confidential information and records.

□ Must have basic math skills and have good oral/written communication skills.

□ Show the ability to speak confidently to customers.

□ Must be able to read and decipher order documents and assembly drawings.

□ Must be willing to work 40 hours a week plus up to 50 hours during peak times when business warrants the overtime. Punctuality is a must.

Education & Certifications

□ High School or Equivalent (Preferred).

□ Valid Driver’s License.

□ Forklift Certification (Preferred).

Wage:

□ $23.00 - $37.00 per Hour

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
