New York University is Hiring an Associate Director, Workplace Engagement and Experience Near New York, NY
Position Summary
Cultivate an inclusive, positive, people-centric culture and work environment to enhance workplace engagement, employee experience, and the mission, values, and strategic people goals of Global Enrollment Management and Student Success (GEMSS.) Collaborate, strategize, and innovate with GEMSS leadership on ways to cultivate employee professional growth, build a continuous learning environment, and drive a positive work culture to maximize the talent of individuals and teams. Oversee the physical workplace strategy for GEMMS, including space management and utilization of the new office location’s space allocations, and internal scheduling of hoteling and conference spaces. Oversee all phases of the GEMSS employee life cycle: onboarding, development, engagement, and offboarding. Ensure all positions have clear competencies and performance goals which are assessed annually, and align with GEMSS overarching strategic plan. Ensure regular feedback opportunities are available for employees, and ensure consistent and relevant professional development opportunities are provided. Provide framework structures for managers across GEMSS to support staff so that they are productive, consistent, inclusive, caring, and committed performers, fully developing their potential and creating an informed workforce.
Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's Degree in organizational behavior, behavioral science, or higher educationRequired Experience:7 years relevant experience in an enrollment management field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have supervisory experience, and experience leading a diverse, complex population of employees.Preferred Experience:7 years relevant experience with employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, policy and/or compliance ideally within a Higher Education setting.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Demonstrated understanding of Global Inclusion, Diversity, Belonging, Equity, Access and Justice issues in higher education enrollment management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to recognize the value of collaboration and cross-functional teams. Strong management skills and the ability to problem solve with tact and empathy. Commitment to a positive work place and recognition of the value of a human centric creativity and innovation as a means of improving impact and success. Ability to gather, analyze, interpret data.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $105,000.00 to USD $125,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
