Position Description:
The Beekmantown Central School District Board of Education announces a search for a Superintendent of Schools. The Board is seeking an educational leader committed to maintaining a climate of excellence for students, faculty, staff and the Beekmantown community. Approximately 2,000 students are enrolled Pre-K – 12. The surrounding area, with a population in excess of 31,000, includes a State University College, Community College, a Cultural Center for the Arts, public libraries, and many business and industrial facilities. The colleges are active partners in public education as well as being valuable resources of the arts, culture, and athletics for the community. An outstanding regional medical center offering quality medical care is nearby. The area also includes a variety of restaurants, shopping, and tourist attractions. The District offers a broad variety of housing choices including lakefront, neighborhood and rural.
