Detec�ve Supervisor: Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) – Hauppauge
The Office of the Atorney General is seeking qualified candidates for Detec�ve Supervisor posi�on
located in Hauppauge, Long Island. Candidates should be hardworking, mo�vated, and commited to
public service on behalf of the people of the State of New York.
MFCU, the centerpiece of New York’s efforts to combat Medicaid provider fraud, employs experienced
inves�gators to conduct complex inves�ga�ons into fraud commited by Medicaid providers and others
in the healthcare industry who steal from New York State, those involved in the diversion of prescrip�on
narco�cs, and to inves�gate and prosecute abuse and neglect of residents in nursing homes, hospitals,
and other residen�al healthcare facili�es. The Detec�ve Supervisor is the first line of supervision of
these detec�ves and these inves�ga�ons.

Performance of the du�es may require frequent, unscheduled work on evenings and weekends and
requires 24/7 availability. This posi�on is in the exempt class, and incumbents serve at the pleasure of
the Atorney General. The Hire Rate for this posi�on is $105,318. Appointments in this loca�on receive
an addi�onal $3,400 loca�on pay.
