New York Life - Melville is Hiring a Life insurance sales Near Melville, NY

Our rapidly expanding insurance agency is looking for a full-time Life Insurance Agent to join our team! You’ll grow a list of prospective clients, market our insurance products, showcase our offerings to new customers, and help policyholders navigate the claims process.

Compensation :

$84,000 at plan yearly Benefits

Responsibilities :

  • Identify new client insurance needs, insurance risk, goals, current coverage, and financial situation by scheduling meetings for new customers, ensuring a personalized experience
  • Manage electronic and paper records and ensure all contracting paperwork is kept current
  • Process current policyholders’ insurance claims while monitoring the status of existing insurance claims
  • Onboard incoming and retain existing clients via a variety of customer service tasks, such as appointment booking, and responding to inquiries regarding billing, coverage, eligibility, and insurance policies
  • Develop a prospective customer base and advertise our insurance products through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other marketing strategies to secure new business
  • Meeting and contacting new potential clients to discuss financial concerns and needs
  • Analyzing client needs and presenting potential solutions
  • Providing ongoing service to clients
  • Developing and implementing personal business and marketing plans
  • On-going development of professional skills and knowledge

Qualifications :

  • Customer service or experience as a sales representative are highly valued
  • Background in the health insurance or life insurance industries preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office
  • Current Life & Health insurance license is greatly valued
