Responsibilities

The Behavioral Science Department at New York Institute of Technology, anticipates openings for part-time (adjunct) instructors for the Spring 2024 semester. We expect that the new faculty hires will be assigned to teach PSYC 101 in addition to courses in one’s specialty.

Qualifications

These candidates must have a minimum Master’s degree in psychology and prior experience in teaching college level psychology classes. However, having a doctoral degree in psychology is preferred. 

Candidates should have prior experience in remote and/or online teaching using an LMS (such as Blackboard or Canvas) for course delivery. All adjuncts will be expected to participate in orientation, as needed, before the start of the semester.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer. Adjunct Faculty offered hourly rate is contingent on applicable rank.
