Qualifications
· MUST be Bilingual in English and Spanish
· Valid Driver’s License and access to a motor vehicle preferred
· 1-2 years of experience working with Medicaid application and recertification process
· Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
· Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Great written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities
· The Medicaid Entitlement Specialist is responsible for assisting clients in the Medicaid recertification process to reactivate their insurances so NYHC services can continue without disruption
· Contact clients that have lost their Medicaid coverage to discuss possible resolutions and next steps
· Work with clients to gather, verify, and prepare the information for the Medicaid application form
· Submit Medicaid application to the appropriate jurisdiction and follow up until approved
· Communicate with appropriate Medicaid offices by telephone, in writing, or face to face
· Follow up on additional information requested
· Respond to denials including, but not limited to, appearing at fair hearings
· Monitor eligibility reports for coverage issues
· Prepare and complete re-certification applications as required
· Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
