Description
The Client seeks an administrative professional to support the operations of public safety grant programs. The position will be primarily in office in downtown Nashville, with the possibility for some remote work. The contract is expected to be 3 to 5 months in length with an average of 25-30 hours a week. Training will last several weeks, and hours will vary more during this time.
The Grants Analyst will perform a variety of administrative duties including the following:
- Build, update, and maintain spreadsheets and work efficiently in multiple databases
- Review and analyze grant applications with very close attention to detail to ensure and document compliance with guidelines and requirements
- Manage e-mail inboxes and communicate with applicants as needed to provide customer-focused technical assistance
- Maintain a system to track actions on incoming/outgoing correspondences
- Populate a high volume of legal contract documents with close attention to detail and according to template instructions
- Process a high volume of final expenditures and accounting reports and assist in developing and maintaining systems for reconciliation, documentation, and data management
- Review and process grant invoices according to instructions
- Perform other administrative functions as needed
Grant Analyst will be required to communicate with external partners which include local law enforcement agencies, nonprofit houses of worship, and other state agencies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to send clear, concise emails and respond in a timely manner. Be flexible and adaptable to changing work demands/tasks. Organization and attention to detail required. Utilize good time management, note-taking, email organization and distribution skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat is required. Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint is preferred.
