The Drop-In Center (DC) Manager provides leadership and supervision to the Fayette County Drop-In Center in areas related to integrated care, clinical quality, financial performance, care access, billing and collection, community partner relationships, and communication and execution of organization initiatives. This role promotes whole person health and fosters collaborative relationships and teamwork within the clinic, the organization and through community connections that lead to the best client experience. The DC Manager finds ways to make the DC a welcoming environment for clients and staff, ensuring a critical “no wrong door” approach - that any program a client enters can provide a universal gateway to enter any New Vista service. The DC Manager is a positive team player that promotes a culture of inclusion and participation.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a closely related field
  2. License as required by Kentucky professional boards and billing sources
  3. 1 year of professional behavioral health experience
  4. Valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance and reliable operating transportation

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Independent licensure as required by Kentucky professional boards and billing sources
  2. Supervisory Experience
  3. Certification to provide clinical supervision in discipline

Drop-In Center Management

  1. Oversee and supervise DC functions, ensuring adequate staffing coverage for daily operations
  2. Establish creative approaches to integrating care in a low barrier program, serving as a bridge into New Vista’s full range of services
  3. Foster a collaborative approach among the team and across service lines to provide the best care and create a seamless experience for each client embracing the “no wrong door” philosophy
  4. Lead change by painting a picture of the future that inspires others, helping people overcome obstacles, stimulating others to think of old problems in new ways with a whole health wellness lens that considers an individual’s behavioral health, physical health and social determinant needs
  5. Organize and focus the departmental work and supervised staff by assigning priorities, coordinating activities, scheduling tasks, monitoring performance, optimizing motivation and moderating team activities.
  6. Coach team members and guide the work of the team based on technical and clinical skill while fostering collaboration and creative problem solving
  7. Monitor billing, financial performance, purchasing and other business procedures to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  8. Create a culture that promotes communication, trust, growth and leadership
  9. Identify talent and promote the development of leadership skills
  10. Represent New Vista in the community, building community relationships and developing pipelines into care
  11. Provide clinical, billing, and task supervision and provide guidance managing clients with complex diagnostic profiles, emergency and/or behavioral health crises with a whole health approach to care.
  12. Conduct team meetings to foster effective communication between team members across service lines and the larger organization, creating a communication pipeline to and from the team

Community Partners

  1. Maintain continued involvement in community workgroups or committees relevant to the mission of New Vista
  2. Maintain regular communication with key community partners including DCBS, schools, courts, law enforcement, jails, juvenile justice, mental health advocacy groups, and other community support networks
  3. Attend meetings in the community to promote New Vista services and provide a positive response to expressed needs from the community perspective (e.g., ASAP, FAIR Team, LIAC)

Quality of Clinical Care

  1. Ensure that clinical documentation practices meet standard of care and policies
  2. Facilitate necessary training and staff development to encourage a holistic approach to care
  3. Monitor the quality of clinical interventions using PCOMS and PCOMS supervision for each clinician with minimal errors for validity and completeness of therapeutic goals
  4. Serve as billing and clinical/task supervisor to all providers in DC and Fayette TRP Services as needed
