We are seeking an experienced Billing/Payroll specialist with home care experience in Westchester County.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process invoices for billing purposes
- Review collection of outstanding claims
- Submission of electronic billing to MLTC's
- Communicate with insurances regarding payment issues
- Collaborate with our HR team to process weekly payroll and keeping track of employee's PTO
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Assign appropriate ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG codes for medical procedures and diagnoses
- Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement - Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain missing or incomplete documentation - Follow up on denied or rejected claims and resolve billing discrepancies - Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role
- Proficiency in medical coding systems, including ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Familiarity with insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Knowledge in using HHA Exchange, Availity, and Change Healthcare systems is required
