New Sky specializes in custom residential and neighborhood development landscape construction as well as commercial landscape construction. We have projects in the Gallatin Valley and Big Sky areas. We are looking for talented and highly motivated individuals to join our team in the upcoming 2024 season. A desirable candidate will have experience in equipment operation to help support our landscape crews and help the foreman run the job.

New Sky is rapidly growing and there is opportunity for professional growth within the company. We invest in our employees by providing them with the necessary training and support that allows the employee to excel at their position.

The season typically starts the first week in April and runs through November. Our typical work week is Monday – Friday, working 40 hours with the opportunity for overtime.

The candidate must have reliable transportation to and from job sites or our shop in the Gallatin Valley. The candidate must be willing to travel to job sites in Big Sky; travel is paid hourly to and from the New Sky shop in Bozeman and transportation is provided.

The candidate must be reliable and on time to work daily, being provided with a schedule weekly by the Field Manager. The candidate should be willing to work in all weather conditions, take direction from the foreman, and always keep safety a priority.

A qualified candidate will have operator experience on various pieces of landscape equipment including dingo, skid steer, mini excavator, and the attachments. The candidate should also have experience with landscape installation and irrigation systems.

Hourly wage for a landscape operator is between $28 and $30 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime is offered as well as 6 paid holidays.

Benefits are available after a 60-day probationary period. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental and vision), paid time off, and seasonal bonuses.

Winter work can be available for qualified candidates depending on experience. New Sky does not snowplow.
