We are seeking a Director of Food & beverage for a position located in Barnstable County, MA 

The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the professional and efficient management of the food and beverage operations, including the oversight of the execution of private functions. This position is required to assume hours of the operation and special events so that he/she will work in conjunction with F&B managers. The Director of Food & Beverage ensures the highest quality dining and event experience through excellent and consistent service and through successful coordination with the Executive Chef. The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the planning and implementation of department related budgets and cost controls, hiring, training, development, scheduling and supervision of staff. 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• A successful track record of recruiting, building and developing a high functioning, diverse team.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel required.
• Has developed and implemented successful food and beverage service training plans.
• Expert knowledge in budget development and a track record of meeting budgetary goals.
• Track record of introducing creative and successful dining related programming and drive usage.
• An understanding of, and appreciation for, regional New England cuisine and culture is highly desired.

Credentials and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in business and/or hospitality. 
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the hospitality industry required.
