The Help Group is the largest, most comprehensive nonprofit of its kind, serving children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse, and emotional problems. We are seeking a motivated, energetic Volunteer & Events Coordinator to join our team.

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing our team of volunteers, coordinating a wide array of agency events, and developing community partnerships to help advance our mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer Management: Develop and execute strategies to recruit, onboard, and retain volunteers; coordinate volunteer programs and initiatives and provide training, orientation, and ongoing support.
  • Partnership Development: Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors and community partners to support volunteer efforts and event coordination.
  • Integration & Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to seamlessly integrate volunteer services into organizational activities and initiatives.
  • Event Coordination: Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including logistics, venue selection, setup, and teardown; ensure exceptional guest experiences and smooth operations throughout.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate records of volunteers and events, utilizing online file sharing platforms and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications:

  • BA in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Superior organizational and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and complete projects on time in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, with adaptability and effective problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with online file sharing platforms and strong computer skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
