New School for Child Development is Hiring a Facilities Coordinator - Sherman Oaks Near Sherman Oaks, CA

 
 

The Help Group is currently seeking a Facilities Coordinator to help facilitate general maintenance and repairs at our Sherman Oaks Campus.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with day-to-day operations and routine inspections.
  • Evaluate all locations to ensure cleaning standards are met throughout each facility.
  • Monitor maintenance ticketing system, respond to routine, urgent and emergency calls and delegate tasks to facilities team. 
  • Oversee sub-contracted janitorial and maintenance personnel, ensuring that assignments are completed in a timely manner. 
  • Coordinate moves, special events, and other aspects of the facilities operations
  • Regularly Inspect sites and make recommendations to department head related to security and preventative maintenance. 
  • Participate in emergency drills to ensure safety of staff and students throughout the agency. 
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for required repairs; serve as vendor liaison to ensure work is completed on time and within proposed budget. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Previous janitorial experience; knowledge of sanitation protocols and cleaning methods
  • 1 year of Manager, Supervisor, or Lead experience preferred. 
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks effectively and efficiently. 
  • Ability to interact with all levels of Agency personnel, up to and including Executive Administration
  • Flexibility to deal with changing deadlines and assignments. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (Spanish) preferred. 
  • Typically work Mon-Fri 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, but must have the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, nights, holidays or any combination thereof
  • Valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record
