The Help Group is seeking a bright, dynamic Child and Family Specialist, based in our Van Nuys and Culver City location. The Child and Family Specialist will provide field-based, in-home direct services and behavior interventions to clients and families, helping to link to community resources and assisting families to engage with the Wraparound team, and utilizing role modeling, role playing, trauma focused/informed behavior modification interventions, socialization skills training supporting the development of parenting skills. 

The Help Group's Wraparound Department is an innovative program designed to maintain at-risk children in their homes and avoid placement in institutions or other restrictive settings. Wraparound also assists families in acquiring the skills and resources they need to raise their children in safe, healthy and nurturing homes. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field or AA degree with three years’ experience working with a high-risk child/youth/adolescent population
• Training in and expertise in positive behavior management techniques 
• Valid CA Driver License, three years of driving experience and a clean driving record are required
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Ability to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Familiarity with principles of family-centered, strengths-based services
